Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the most transformative technologies of the twenty-first century and is increasingly influencing the way education is designed, delivered, and evaluated. The integration of AI into modern education has created new opportunities for personalized learning, intelligent tutoring, automated assessment, learning analytics, educational content development, and administrative decision-making. Unlike traditional educational technologies, AI-based systems can analyse large amounts of learner data, identify individual learning patterns, provide immediate feedback, and adapt instructional materials according to students' needs. Consequently, AI has the potential to support teachers and improve the overall quality, accessibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of education.

This research article examines the importance of Artificial Intelligence in modern education, with particular attention to its educational applications, potential benefits, challenges, ethical concerns, and future prospects. The article adopts a descriptive and conceptual research approach based on a review of existing academic literature and reports concerning AI and education. The study argues that AI should not be viewed as a replacement for teachers but as a supportive technology that can strengthen teaching and learning processes. AI can assist educators in reducing routine administrative tasks, identifying students who require additional support, developing learning resources, and providing differentiated instruction. At the same time, issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, unequal access to technology, academic integrity, digital dependency, lack of teacher preparedness, and the possibility of inaccurate AI-generated information require serious consideration.

The article concludes that the successful integration of AI into education requires a balanced human-centred approach. Educational institutions should develop appropriate policies, provide professional development for teachers, ensure responsible data governance, promote digital and AI literacy, and maintain human oversight in important educational decisions. When implemented ethically and inclusively, Artificial Intelligence can become a powerful instrument for improving modern education and preparing learners for an increasingly technology-driven society.
