Abstract
With a view to reducing unemployment among the
population, the Ivorian State undertakes to implement a policy in favour of
various social strata including people with disabilities leaving universities
and colleges. It is in this context that this study aims to determine the
factors that are at the origin of the difficulties in integrating disabled
students into the public service of Côte d'Ivoire. Through a qualitative and
quantitative analysis (with respectively for data collection instruments, the
questionnaire and the interview guide), the factors causing difficulties in
integrating students with disabilities into the public service through
exceptional recruitment have been identified. However, consideration of the
content of the exceptional recruitment policy for disabled people as well as
the socio-professional integration strategies implemented by the Group for the
Integration of Physically Handicapped Students of Côte d'Ivoire (GIEHPCI) are
important determinants in understanding this phenomenon.
