Abstract
This study explores the motivational and influencing factors of
eco-tourists in Kollam District, Kerala. Eco-tourism is a rapidly growing
sector that promotes environmentally responsible travel. Understanding
eco-tourists' behavior is crucial for sustainable development. This analysis
examines the primary and secondary factors influencing eco-tourists'
destination choices. Key factors include natural environment, climate,
historical sites, and scenic views. Socio-economic, environmental, and
technological factors also play a significant role. The study highlights the
importance of information and satisfaction in eco-tourism marketing. The
findings will be useful for tourism practitioners, service providers, and
industry professionals.
