Abstract

Examination irregularities pose significant challenges to academic integrity, impacting both the credibility of educational institutions and the future prospects of students. This article delves into the pivotal role that invigilators play in addressing and mitigating these irregularities. By examining various strategies and best practices, the study aims to offer a comprehensive framework for enhancing the effectiveness of invigilators in safeguarding the integrity of the examination process.

Key recommendations emphasize the importance of thorough, ongoing training to equip invigilators with the skills and knowledge necessary to detect and prevent malpractice. Additionally, the integration of technology such as biometric identification, surveillance systems, and digital monitoring tools, can significantly enhance the invigilators’ ability to maintain a secure exam environment. A collaborative approach involving faculty, administrative staff, and invigilators is essential to ensure a unified effort in upholding examination standards.

This article underscores the necessity of a proactive stance against examination malpractices, highlighting the critical need for regular evaluation and continuous improvement of invigilator roles.
