Exploring curriculum: Concepts and variants
Authors

Abstract
The development and application of curricula play a key role in
determining student outcomes. This essay examines the core ideas of curriculum,
examining how it has been interpreted and the effects different definitions
have had on teaching. Examining how various curricular models—such as
competency-based, learner-centered, and traditional approaches—address a range
of learning demands, the study digs into these variations. The impact of
curriculum design on educational accessibility and inclusivity—especially for
students with special needs—is given particular attention. This study attempts
to give educators and policymakers insights into the benefits and drawbacks of
various curriculum models through an extensive examination of the research and
case studies. It also provides ideas for fostering more inclusive and
productive learning environments.
