Abstract
Intermetallic nanocrystals show promising magnetic, thermoelectric and electronic properties. Nonetheless, nonorange synthesis methods are scarce, which restrict their exploration in applications. Here, we report a powerful and economical one-pot polyol approach for the synthesis of low-temperature thermoelectric FeSb2 nanoparticles. The structure of FeSb2 was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The formation of spherical particles in the range of 10-20 nm was confirmed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Furthermore, the thermal stability and magnetic nature of particles were analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer, respectively.
