The research objective of the article is to analyze the potential and status of marine tourism development in Phu Quoc island city in the period of 2019-2021, the achieved results, and the remaining limitations by using the research method of qualitative research. From the results of analyzing the potential and current status of the island city's marine tourism development, the study has found four strategic solutions to sustainably develop the island city's marine tourism, including increasing investment in product development of marine tourism products and tourism infrastructure; improve the quality of tourism human resources; differentiate and diversify marine tourism products; promote green and sustainable tourism development.
