Impact of problem-solving skills on achievement in mathematics of male students of secondary level

Abstract
The students are achievement oriented, each and every step of life is based on enhancement of educational achievement in any subject, mathematics one of the most important achievement manifested connotation amongst the all. An invention in mathematics is a never-ending accumulation while problem solving skills enable the first attention. The study is emphasized upon the impact of problem-solving skills on achievement in mathematics of the students in secondary level of education. The entire method of study was relied upon secondary schools of Habra Block from North 24 Parganas districts and Haringhata Block from Nadia district of West Bengal, India. 400 boys were chosen from the age group of 14-16 years of class ix and x. The study was conducted and analyzed through statical calculation to prove its veracity of the truth. mean, standard deviation was necessitated for the same. Pearson product moment coefficient method of correlation were used for essential calculation of collected data. The result shows that there is a positive influence of problem-solving skills on achievement in mathematics of male student of secondary level at Habra Block and Haringhata Block of the duo districts like North 24 Parganas and Nadia respectively.
