Abstract
The speech pronounced on september 17th, 2014 in Daoukro by Henri Konan Bédié during a state visit generated contradictory reactions in street discussion spaces. Far from unnoticed, he had important effect which this paper tries to explain from a fieldwork survey conduced in four spaces in Abidjan and Bouaké. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and 2 focus groups. ‘’Grins’’ marked their total support in the watchlord of the single candidacy of the president of RHDP to support the candidature of Alassane Ouattara in the presidential election of October, 2015. On the contrary, ‘’agoras’’ and ‘’parliaments’’ are opposite to this project. Reactions of adoption and rejection of the appeal of the president of the RHDP reflecte the participation of these spaces in the political action. Even if they translate their sequencing in the ideologies of the political parties with which they are connected, the fact remains that the changes are non-existent in these spaces.
