Akmel Meless Siméon
This study tries to understand the reasons of the fish smoking and analyzes the health risks. The case of Bouake, our field study is an illustration, because several fish smokers are observed particularly at Broukro and Sokoura. The study, both qualitative and quantitative presents the results of the field study. It’s about the economic importance (source of income) and sociocultural value (scholarship, social integration, ceremonies) of the fish smoking. This incentive has caused health risks, that are ignored by women. This situation of discomfort is justified by the low level of education (illiteracy) and the problems of training and employment.
