The research paper attempts to understand the acceptance, application and future prospects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in reference to the field of medicine. The paper gives an overview of application of Artificial Intelligence in the current scenario. The current study includes dentists, cardiologists, surgeons and ophthalmologists. The sample size for the study is 73 doctors from Ahmadabad, Surat, Baroda, Rajsamand (Rajasthan).Personal and telephonic interviews are undertaken to understand the awareness and perception of the respondents towards artificial intelligence. Most of the respondents are aware about artificial intelligence interventions in their field and some of them are already using certain using it. Nevertheless, though the doctors are in agreement with the relevance and advantages of AI, the also perceive certain disadvantages in terms of high cost and lack of human touch. But the technologies approaching from this field may profoundly transform the society for better in the coming decades.
