A framework of continuous professional development of school teachers: Feasibility and perceived effectiveness

Abstract
The present paper is about Continuous Professional Development of school teachers in India in which a framework was developed taking ideas from five international models of Continuous Professional Development in USA namely the MiTEP model, Ramp and Pathways model, Guided inquiry model, Wyoming Triad model and the Quest Model which had gained a lot of popularity as well as are known to have been actually implemented and successful widely. An attempt was made to contextualize it in the Indian setting and data was collected from the teacher educators and teachers teaching in Government and government aided organisations through three point rating scales to know about it’s feasibility and perceived effectiveness.
