India, the second-most populous country with over 1.2 billion people, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by area, with a total area of 3,287,263 square kilometres. India has 29 states, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttranchal, West Bengal and Telangana with 7 Union Territories (UTs) viz. A & N Islands, Chandigarh, D & N Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry. The data in this study is taken from Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and census 2011. Data is reproduced for making it worth for study. After analysis the data, results were computed and discussion was made.
