Role of yoga in prevention of neurodegenerative diseases

Abstract
Neurodegenerative disorder is a progressive loss of structure and function of neurons. It includes Parkinson, alzheimer, cerebral stroke, anxiety and depression. Yoga therapy is effective in improving quality of life in people with neurodegenerative diseases. Yoga show beneficial effects through direct influence on the sympathetic and parasympathetic activity in autonomic nervous system. It reduces significantly neurotransmitters that involved in these diseases. Yoga improves the social interaction, quality of life and help to recover and to face life with new positivity and strength.
