Abstract: This paper attempts to highlight the importance of early years of life of an individual in his all-round development. The emotional, social and physical development of young children has a direct effect on their overall development and on the adult they will become. That is why understanding the need to invest in very young children is so important, so as to maximize their future well-being. Children’s early experiences – the bonds they form with their parents and their first learning experiences etc. deeply affect their future physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. Early child development sets the foundation for lifelong learning, behavior, and health. The experiences children have in early childhood shape the brain and the child's capacity to learn, to get along with others, and to respond to daily stresses and challenges.
