Abstract: This paper presents a computational study on the heat transfer characteristics of cylindrical heat pipe. In heat pipe the heat transfer due to conduction and convection. A heat pipe is a simple device which is made use of to transfer heat from one location to another, using evaporation–condensation cycle. It combines the principles of both thermal conductivity and phase transition to efficiently manage the transfer of heat between two solid interfaces. Heat pipe are extensively used in modern cooling system that carries heat away from high power components to heat sink where thermal energy may be dissipated into the environment.
