Content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge in the ninth grade mathematics textbook of West Bengal board of secondary education

Abstract: Present work deals with an analysis of content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge in ninth grade mathematics textbook of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal, India. Concepts which are explored in the algebra together with necessary concepts which should be included are also discussed. An analysis on textual presentation and exercises supplied with necessary recommendations is presented.
